I'm Jonathan . I am a freshman in college passionate about cameras, the outdoors, and creativity.

I've always found nature astonishingly beautiful and I try to share that beauty through each photograph I take. My goal is to inspire others to get outside and enjoy nature for themselves.

And that applies to all photos I take, not just my bird photos! Combining portraiture and nature, or sports and nature creates unique challenges and ultimately beautiful photos.

While I primarily photograph birds, I developed a love for sports photography through my position as a student photographer for the communications department at Strake Jesuit. I've realized that bird photography is very similar to sports photography: both involve long focal lengths, sub-optimal lighting, and uncooperative subjects.
